Carrier select is the process whereby telephone subscribers whose telephone line is maintained by one company, can choose to have some or all of their calls automatically routed across a different telephone company's network (such as ClearVoip.org) without needing to enter a special code or special equipment. This can save a lot of costs, especially for phonecalls to other countries (up to 90%) and to mobile telephones anywhere in the world.
CarrierSelect from ClearVoip.org can be used in all countries where ClearVoip.org has a Local Access Number (see menu).
You can choose to use ClearVoip.org CarrierSelect whenever you want. Your calls will be charged from your ClearVoip credit. You can even give others access to make phonecalls using your acount this way. So if you want to enable low cost phonecalls for family or friends you can also do so. Read the section "Local Access Number" once you are logged in to your ClearVoip.org control panel for more information:
- Just enter your own telephone number in the appropiate field in your ClearVoip control panel to use your telephone with the option of dialing one of our local access numbers in many countries (at landline rate) and enable yourself this way to use our low rates without any special VoIP device, PC or laptop. If you use the speeddialing option on your phone, you will be only one pushbutton away from making low rated phonecalls worldwide or even inside your own country.
- (Please note that your telecom provider will charge you the local fee to create the connection between you and the ClearVoip.org network, so using ClearVoip.org CarrierSelect inside your own country is mostly not worthwhile to make local phonecalls to a landline, but it may save you a lot when making phonecalls to mobile numbers).
